Lack of respect and professionalism

To whom it may concerne: A few days ago I sent an email I did not have answered to my concerned,because of was hat Iam obliged to write again with an unpleasant experience.Firts time I buy a Toyota car in this country I always had Chevrolet in all my models on the recommendation of my Son to insist that I changed my mind but I have had a rather unpleasant impression.I start by telling you that the Toyota Dealer of Hollywood where I buy my 2 cars never told me that I could qualify for 3 months extension first payment with 75 months financing for surprise for me that I call Toyota SETF to find out and she call respond to me with a bad actitude as if I knew how this promotion is and works July2/2020 to August 3/2020 I just want to make it clear that you need trained personnel and trained to perform a position of customer service,the person who answered me by phone was Claudia July 29/2020 5:30 PM Easter Time if you want you cand find out the monitoring of your calls how she is going to questions me that because I bought 2 cars if I had no money that seems to me to be lack of respect and professionalism.SETF Acc 001010****0432**** and Acc 001010****0433****. I lost my job due to Covid and I called them to see what they can do, they told me I have to pay 161 dollars to defer my payment which is like 15% of my car note and I still have to pay an accrue interest for missing 2 payments and penalty, so they have nothing to help you if you lost your job due Covid, they just wanna profit of it and take advantage of the situation, worst financial institution I’ve ever seen, government should do something to stop them from ripping of American citizen

Trying to get payoff information and form for payoff. we have two cars. a2021 and a 2018 .

Could not reach a live person, got the payoff for the Corolla 2021 but could not get it for the 2018 Prius. We added the Prius on the same account under my email address: ogarwood@***.com. They won't even recognize the old account number for the Prius. I am not waiting 35 days for contact reply or for a payoff. Toyota is CHANGING....NOT FOR THE BETTER. YOUR Website NEEDS HELP. AND PHONE SERVICE NEEDS A PERSON!!!

User's recommendation: Try using live people to help customers. Especially ones that have been puchaseing Cars From toyoat for many years. We bought our First Prius in 2000 and have purchased 6 more over the years.

False missed payment

Leased car April 2019 made payments automatically with my bank auto pay. Each and every month on time.. they started to call me in March telling me I missed a Payment. Then I find out I was over paying by 20.00. Thats my fault. But how could I have missed a payment first they said Dec 2019. Do you know how hard it is to get a bank to send you proof of payment for an auto pay. But I did. Then they tell me I missed March 2020 Payment. SO I had to call my bank up again and spent hours on phone with them to get copy of auto pay check ! Never Missed a Payment. Harassed me and wasted my time for their accounting records. I have leased about 25 cars over my lifetime Never had a Leasing company do this........ total ***

They charged bogus fees and excessive wear and tear use charge... these are normal wear and tear, no damages or dents. Also charged a disposition fee in addition to other made up charges.

Lack of empathy for customers

I have a 2013 Toyota Camry that was paid off March of this yr. I misunderstood my payment due in Feb of 2020 and paid the normal payment amt instead of the payoff amt. Once I realized what I had done I paid the remainder amt but it was too late, they dinged my credit with a 30 day late. This was discovered upon a review for a mortgage loan and they refuse to remove it stating it wasn't an error on their end. The way I hear it is they can remove it but choose not to. I have never requested this from them before and I don't see nor understand as a common courtesy why they cant work with me on this. This throws my whole mortgage process timeline off which is unfair. This is the only negative remark on my credit in over 12 months.

Bogus end of lease charges showing as charge off on my credit report

SE Toyota Finance hit me with a bogus list of lease end charges for normal wear and tear on a vehicle. Due to disputing those charges back in 2017 they have now reported the tradeline as a charge off with a balance due with ND (no data) reporting for the months that payments were made. No late payments were ever made on this lease. This is extremely wrong and negates the federal FCRA. Since disputing it, the company had deleted the tradeline from my credit report then began reporting it again more than 1yr later.... no fairness in that.... I am currently disputing directly with CFPB...

I DON'T CARE HOW DESPERATE YOU ARE FOR A CAR, AND HOW SWEET THE DEAL MAYBE............I BEG YOU NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! I had been through a lot of financial hardships such as being laid off and couldn't find employment, I had moved, and then I was robbed. I explained all this to them, and they still came and repossessed my car on Tuesday, October, 22, 2019. On Thursday, October 24, I received a phone call with the amount needed to pay in order to retrieve the car. On Monday, October 28th I call to make sure the price still stood and I was told yes. I call the towing company and they informed me the car had been sent to auction on Friday, October 25, 2019. SERIOUSLY? I didn't even have a chance to say what I wanted to do with the car, and when I got the money on Friday it was too late to do any financial business because everything would have been credited for the next business date which was Monday (that's why I called the day the funds were available, expecting to pay). After I talked to a supervisor (Brandy Miller) she agreed that Toyota would take care of all fees associated with the auction and I just pay what's due from me. I asked for this to be sent in writing and was told that was not possible. I called several times and was finally told that I needed a lawyer in order for them to send a letter on an agreement they proposed. Now I feel like some shady stuff is going on because what is it just to send a letter stating what we spoke about. They are saying I have until November 3rd, 2019 and then the car will go for sale at the auction. Another important detail is that when I called on Monday, October 28 SETF didn't even tell me my car was no longer at the recovery place, they had to tell me. And when I asked who authorized it, they said SETF. I called SETF and they said its the towing company which is the biggest lie in life. When I called SETF AGAIN, I was told that the recovery place my car originally went to was not an in house storage that they used, so it was taken to Manheim Atlanta. I DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH WHO SETF DOES AND DOES NOT DO BUSINESS WITH. Why was the car moved so fast? I feel these are some shady practices, and they all are liars. I do not understand what's so difficult to send an 2 cent e-mail or fax stating what agreement we came to. The only reason that comes to mind as to why you won't provide documentation is because SETF is doing something shady. Simple as that. Because why do I need a lawyer for you to send an agreement SETF themselves came up, but you can freely send me correspondence when I owe, but now that you owe now its not anything you can do. A certified letter was sent to my previous address and I'm assuming it was saying what was going on with the car. Well, not only do I not live at that address anymore (and they knew this because they dug into my personal business and found my new address), they put this letter in the mail the day they called with the total. The letter did not arrive at my former address until Monday, and that's because my sister called and told me but she did not sign for it because I was not there. All this has been strategically calculated because I have a friend who drove the same kind of car I did and dealt with SETF, not only did they take her car at 58 days, her car sat at the recovery place for weeks. Why wasn't I given the chance to have an opportunity to cure? THE LIES, THE LIES!

Unethical practices

Preferred solution: Provide documentation requested, pay on actual value of car (which has been paid by monthly payments), pay what I owe MINUS repossession fees and SETF keeps their agreement. Do not come after me for deficiency and place this on my credit report.

Corona pandemic

The fact your competitors are helping the customer and you guys aren't is really a bad look. People have lost there jobs and don't have the ability to pay there payment is out of there control . People will remember who was there to help the families and who was not . I always backed Toyota over Ford trucks and now I know that was a big mistake . My wife drives a Ford and they reached out her knowing I'm a chef and they knew our industry was destroyed .These last few weeks I'm trying to figure out how I'm financially going to take care of a family when no ones hiring in this environment. SETF = not compassionate. Thanks for not caring .

Worst Financing Company there is.

Received a call concerning my late fee. Customer service rep had an horrible attitude.

No greeting just straight who I was & so forth. After the smart tone/questions regarding nothing of the late fee... I stated when I would make a payment (2/26/20) the next day as in (TOMORROW) I was asked why I couldn't resolve the matter today. I feel as though if I state when I will make a payment then that should be the LAST of the phone call.

Going into detail on which number is on file & why I didn't call the number out should not matter if the number you called me on worked. Remind you I updated the number December. I could have been a smart butt and said check the notes I know it was notated because I made sure of it.

Find people who LOVE their job not people who like harassing people. Screw you guys!
